| The Choudhury family pioneered ASHIC Foundation in 1994 after the loss of their son, Ashiq, to cancer when he was only three. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children in Bangladesh, during and after their treatment for cancer. Over the years, ASHIC has introduced several programs, that have been innovative and necessary additions to the childhood cancer scene in the country. |
