You can choose to volunteer for any of the following three
annual events. Look below for details.
ASHIC Annual Dinner
Application Form
To be held in the second week of December, the ASHIC Annual
Dinner is a premier black-tie charity event.
It will be a high-class social event, with a fashion show, music from
budding performers and a short presentation put together by some of the ASHIC
Children.
All the proceeds from the event will be put towards the
ASHIC Fund, and will be used solely for the development of new projects and/ or
new features in current projects.
There are important volunteering opportunities available for this event,
starting from being involved in the public relations to conducting rehearsals
with the children! Fill out the application form and send it to the ASHIC
Office today or just come by our office to find out which departments still need
help!
ASHIC Walk for the Children
Application Form
The ASHIC Walk for the Children serves two purposes.
Not only does it help us celebrate the International Childhood Cancer
Day, it also helps us raise important funds for enhancement of ASHIC work.
Even though the announced date for ICCD is February 15th, the
next ASHIC Walk for the Children will be held on February 18th, 2005.
The walk will cover a distance of 5 kilometers and
participants are free to walk as fast or as leisurely as they desire.
There is an entry fee of Tk. 50 and on top of that, participants are
encouraged to raise sponsorships/ pledges from family and friends.
The more money is raised, the more children we can help!
There are no winners or losers in this event – it is a
walk of hope and a journey of possibilities.
ASHIC will provide all logistical support from start to finish e.g. each
participant will be given a registration package including participant
information and sponsorship forms with complete instructions.
ASHIC will also set up booths at the halfway point of the walk, which
will provide refreshments.
There are several volunteering opportunities available for
this event, starting from being involved in promotions, public relations to
managing the crowd! Fill out the

office to find out where we still need help!
ASHIC Silent Auction
Application Form
The first ASHIC Silent Auction will be held on Friday, May
20th 2005. ASHIC will
gather donations of old and new items, art objects and relics that will be up
for a silent auction. A minimum bid
will be put on the items, which will be displayed in the room.
ASHIC will provide bidding cards, which they will place next to the items
of their desire. Refreshments
provided as well.
