From fundraising drives, rallies, press conferences, presentations and speeches, to advocating with government agencies in the local and international arena, ASHIC has played a critical role in raising the social awareness and acceptance of childhood cancer in Bangladesh.
Social Awareness
Since inception, ASHIC has raised awareness and acceptance of childhood cancer. We run strong campaigns around World Cancer Day, International Childhood Cancer Day, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, World Hospice & Palliative Care Day.
As a member of Childhood Cancer International, a coalition of parent run organizations; APHN, a network of Palliative Care centers in the Asia Pacific; and World Child Cancer, ASHIC has reached a global audience with its innovative programs.
ASHIC often participates in working committees and national collaborations on policy discussions regarding childhood cancer. We provide thought leadership in program design, many of which have been adopted at government hospitals.
