Palliative Care Treatment is a developing area of healthcare that focuses on relieving the suffering of terminally ill patients. In 2005, ASHIC was the only parent-run organization out of 14 global projects to receive a grant.

ASHIC started the Support-a-Life program in 2004 to help the financially needy patients with maintenance treatment cost, so that they can complete their maintenance course of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), significantly improving survival rates.

Depending on prognosis and financial need, we support the primary treatment costs of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), which is too costly for many families to manage. This program is 100% donor supported and cannot be supplemented by ASHIC

The uniquely fitted ambulance provides transportation to palliative patients within the city, and back to their rural homes as needed. Transport is also provided for deceased children, to be taken to their home villages for proper burial rites.
